On vinyl for the first time thanks to Varèse Sarabande Records, as well as on an expanded 2 CD set, the definitive soundtrack to the film Hackers is being released in April to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the film...

The Record Store Day 2020 Exclusive double LP features music from an incredible lineup of electronic artists, including three never-before-released score tracks - Hackers Suite performed by composer Simon Boswell, as well as two pieces by Guy Pratt, One Combination and Grand Central Station featuring David Gilmour, often rumoured to have lent his guitar skills to the track but never been confirmed – until now.

According to Rolling Stone, who premiered Grand Central Station earlier this week, “Gilmour visited the home of Guy Pratt, Pink Floyd’s touring bassist since Momentarily Lapse of Reason, while the bassist was working on music for the 1995 movie…The meet-up became an impromptu jam session that became ‘Grand Central Station’. In the film’s credits, the song was only credited to the mysterious sounding, ‘Deep Cover’”.

Additionally, several other tracks that were not on the original soundtrack release in 1995, including “Protection” by Massive Attack and “Open Up” by Leftfield, have been added this special album edition. You can find the full track listing below.

The commemorative package includes two black vinyl LPs in a gatefold, new notes from director Iain Softley and unreleased photos of the cast. As part of Record Store Day 2020, this special vinyl is available on April 18th, 2020, at thousands of independent record stores, with the CD available more widely the day before.
