Listen to a totally new recording of Chariots of Fire by Vangelis, from his forthcoming album Nocturne, The Piano Album...

Nocturne is Vangelis’ first new album in two years and features Vangelis recorded playing grand piano for the first time. Inspired by night time and his long-held passion for space, there are 11 brand new compositions as well as piano versions of his iconic movie theme hits including this stripped back reworking of Chariots of Fire and the ‘Love Theme’ from Blade Runner, which we're also looking forward to hearing soon just to see if it works, because the original is so synth heavy.

Among the new tracks are such beautiful pieces as Nocturnal Promenade, which opens the album and is the first single (listen to that here), as well as Through the Night Mist, Sweet Nostalgia and Lonesome. 

Vangelis’ new album will be released on 25th January 2019 on Decca Records.
