Continuing our daily coverage of what's on at The Proms 2018, Susan Omand has a quick look at the programme for Prom 49: Chopin & Tchaikovsky and Prom 50: Mozart's Clarinet Concerto & Mahler's Fifth Symphony ...
Reminder - Watch Prom 50: Mozart's Clarinet Concerto & Mahler's Fifth Symphony on BBC Four tonight
What do you normally do on a Sunday morning? Church? Housework? A lie-in? Maybe a bit of shopping? This morning you can swap the shopping for Chopin (see what I did there?) and add in some Tchaikovsky (... nope, can't think of a pun for him) and a sparky UK premiere from Polish composer Agata Zubel.
But it's the evening's Prom I want to look at more closely as this is the recreation of a Prom first performed in 1987 under the baton of the maestro Leonard Bernstein. It's one that I really wish I had gone to back in the day as to see him conduct live would have been incredibly special. As it is, we'll have to make do with the recreation, thanks to the Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Thomas Dausgaard. But it's Mozart and Mahler, so that's no great hardship for me at all. AND it's live on TV!
However, here is how the maestro did it.
Here's the full programme for this evening's Prom which you can listen to live on Radio 3 or on the iPlayer
