The PKD Festival 2017 is set to break new ground with a new venue and a star-studded line up...
After increased success year on year, the 9th PKD Festival on 15th July promises to be the best yet. Having made the final of the Best Outdoor Scottish Festival 2016 (pipping both T in The Park and Rewind to the honour) organisers have promised to build on the recognition and make 2017 even better.
A new venue in Rosyth, Fife, has provided even more scope for the festival to grow and the announcement of international headline acts such as B*Witched, Atomic Kitten, S Club, A1 and Owen Paul has seen ticket sales for this years event rocket. If that’s not enough there are another 10 bands performing alongside the headliners. Bands such as Blue Delta, The Session, Freebird, The Kris Barras Band, Dorja, No Quarter and I-Destroy provide amazing support to the big five. Even the hosts are of a top calibre as Voice of Fife winner Dionne Hickey joins Tom Scott for his 9th PKD appearance.
The organisers were blown away with the popularity of the event, saying “Never before have we seen such a quick uptake of tickets, there really is a chance that this year will sell out well before the event, which is great news for the festival, and really does show how much bigger this year’s event is going to be!”
The festival takes place in the grounds of Rosyth Civil Service Club and the change of venue allows for camping for the first time. All the old favourites will be back, with the kids zone even bigger than before. The motorbikes, trucks, cars, fire engines and local community stalls are all back this year too, and of course there will be the ice cream and food vans and the bars.
Until then, this will have to be your favourite waste of time instead...
Tickets for the whole event on 15th July 2017 are priced at just £20 or you can upgrade to VIP for just £35, and are available from Eventbrite or from www.pkdfestival.com. Kids under 16 go free at PKD (when accompanied by an adult) and there are corporate boxes and sponsorship deals still to be had - more information on the website.
